What is the BScope Project?

The BScope Project aims to provide services by sensing and interpreting human behavior using a set of heterogeneous wireless sensors.

This portal provides services through the BScope framework by analyzing sensor data to interpret human behaviors. Currently these services are provisioned to the BScope testbeds for elder monitoring as well as a special edition of mobile phone applications. Users can register to use public data sources and demos. No mobile phone required.

Personal Safety Services over Mobile Phones?

Part of the spatio-temporal processing developed by the BScope project is currently used to provide personal safety services on GPS-enabled BlackBerry mobile phones.

Compatible with BlackBerry 8800 Series, Pearl, Curve, and 8703e. Support for other phones is coming soon.

  • Keep track of places you visit
  • Plot your tracks on a map
  • Stick virtual notes to any location, and read other people's notes
  • Use the Virtual Escort when walking alone
  • Request assistance at any time with the Panic Button

Client Beta Release Version 0.4.0

The second public release of our client. GPS sampling/notifications have been improved and the client can now use cell towers for localization in the absence of GPS signal.
